To do so in the simplest manner, take the kitchen sink and the faucet out at once using a wrench to cut off the lines between the valves to the faucet. Certain faucets come with a putty plate while others come with a gasket. If your faucet comes with a putty plate, it should be put on the deck plate provided with the new kitchen faucet. If your faucet comes with a gasket, simply set it on the sink holes.
Then put the pipes from the faucet in the holes of the kitchen sink. Under the sink, set up the washers and hardware according to the manufacturing company's guidelines. Manually tighten the nuts with your wrench and make sure that the kitchen faucet is straight before you move on with the sink faucet replacement. Next, connect the faucet to the water supply. Once you are ready to see if your kitchen faucet repair is working properly, turn the faucet off and turn the water supply on.
